Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Title:

Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Requirements:

• NY RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 5 years of current Emergency Department experience preferred
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• NIHSS certification
• EPIC charting experience
• Omnicell medication system experience
• Rhythm-reading competency: must pass facility proctored rhythm/EKG exam

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
• Assess and triage patients using established protocols and guidelines.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation is 24 hours.
• Must complete all Health Stream modules by the deadline.
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but Influenza vaccine is required by 11/1 (with exemption considerations).
• Candidates with primary residence within 50 miles will not be accepted.
