Granite Technical Institute Eminence CE HUMA 1010 Teacher - (1 quarter2-pds.)

Additional prep time is available.

• Teacher is allowed up to two (2) classes and no more than two classes.
• Teacher must have full charge of the classroom and be the teacher of record.
• Teacher must teach during regular school hours (not prior to school or after school).
• Teacher must be eminently qualified in the area they are teaching.

Requires one of the following:

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Humanities, Philosophy, or Religious Studies, or in a related discipline,Interdisciplinary Studies, American Studies, Art History, World History, Literature, Comparative Religion, Gender Studies, or Ethnic Studies.
• Master's degree in any field and at least 18 completed credit hours of graduate course work in Humanities.
• Previous approval from Salt Lake Community College to act as an adjunct for the course.

• Complete a background check through the USBE prior to starting the class.
• Complete an online Educator Application for review prior to starting the class.
• Be eligible based on the qualifications listed above in order to be approved by Salt Lake Community College to teach concurrent level courses. Interested applicants should contact Becky Rodgers, SLCC, at .
• Teach to the Salt Lake Community College syllabus and administer required testing.
• Maintain a safe and orderly lab environment.
• Be able to pass all safety requirements.
• Integrate best teaching practices and innovate with technology in the humanities classroom.

• Increase student awareness in careers that align with humanities.
