Position: Settlement Advisor for Youth Program
Become a Settlement Advisor with the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario in Sarnia, supporting newcomer youth through effective settlement services. Engage with youth directly and facilitate programs that empower and enrich their experiences.

The YMCA is seeking a passionate Settlement Advisor for the Newcomer Youth YMAP Program. This part-time role, scheduled Monday through Friday, focuses on delivering settlement services, needs assessments, and organized workshops. You will also supervise volunteers and represent the agency at community networks to ensure comprehensive support for newcomers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide settlement services and create individual plans

• Organize and facilitate engaging workshops for youth

• Maintain accurate client statistics and reports

• Supervise program volunteers effectively

• Advocate for clients with relevant agencies

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary Degree in related field

• Knowledge of Immigration Law and community programs

• Experience with diverse populations and youth

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual platforms

• Successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
