We are currently looking for a candidate for an Outside Technical Sales Representative position (Solution Specialist) for the Sarnia region. The role involves managing a specific territory with well‑established customers and good potential for growth, working closely with the Sales Manager to maintain and develop sales opportunities for exclusive products and services in our portfolio of industrial instrumentation, control valves, and control systems.
Responsibilities- Meet with new and existing customers to solidify and expand our business relationship.
- Actively prospect additional opportunities within the territory to develop net‑current sales.
- Help clients solve their technical and business problems with the help of our internal and external resources.
- Have a monthly review of your action plan and results with the Sales Manager.
- Develop strategies for your territory in line with the corporate mission and vision.
- Meet or exceed annual sales and customer engagement targets.
- Be a strong team player and value sharing know‑how with your colleagues.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge, skills and participate in relevant training.
- Ensure consistent use of the CRM to create contacts, opportunities and accurate customer engagement through all steps from lead generation through to post‑sales follow‑through.
- Participate and engage with our strong supplier base to collaborate on strategic opportunities.
- Work closely with the Inside team, Service department and internal/external support personnel in a strong team‑based atmosphere.
- Technical degree and experience related to the field of instrumentation, valves and controls.
- Sales experience of 5 years or more as an outside sales representative.
- Very solid technical knowledge in our field of activity and a commitment to continued improvement.
- At ease with MS‑Office suite products and other PC tools.
- Customer service oriented.
- Values innovation and efficiency.
- Have a valid driver’s license to meet our clients.
