Dumas is hiring a Remote Scoop Operator to manage scoop tram operations in underground mining. Ensure safety and efficiency in mucking and material transport.
In this role, you will handle remote-controlled scoop trams to move blasted rock, while strictly following safety and environmental standards. Your responsibilities include equipment maintenance and effective communication with supervisors to achieve production goals. Ideal candidates will thrive in physically demanding and confined settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate scoop trams to move rock from blast sites
• Adhere to Dumas and site-specific safety standards
• Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues
• Coordinate with team members to meet production demands
• Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments
Requirements:
• Experience with scoop trams in underground mining
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner certification
• Familiarity with drilling and blasting methods
• Capability to work in physically challenging environments
• Strong commitment to maintaining safety practices
