Excel as a Directional (HDD) Driller with Valard Construction in Castor, AB, focusing on underground telecommunications installations. Your expertise in operating machinery is key to our projects across Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Crew Foreman, this position calls for an experienced driller capable of ensuring safe equipment operation while maintaining a well-organized work environment. Candidates should have two years of experience with construction equipment and a valid class 3A driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment for safe and efficient drilling

• Securely load, unload, and maintain directional bore gear

• Install and place telecom infrastructure

• Track daily activities in logbooks and report issues

• Actively participate in project safety meetings

Requirements:

• 2+ years in construction equipment operations

• Valid class 3A driver’s license and clear abstract

• Capacity to lift heavy weights up to 50 lbs

• Knowledge of utility locates and outdoor work

• Flexible schedule with a collaborative attitude
