Sour Gas Plant Operator

Our client, a major Oil and Gas client, is looking for an Sou Gas Plant Operator to join their team on a 1-year contract (14/14 rotational schedule).

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain sour gas plant equipment, adhering to safe operating practices.
• Handle emergency response duties and provide on-call coverage as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers, other Technicians, Electricians, CCO, Regional Support, contractors, and PLM for planning and executing work.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Maintain facility records and update drawings.
• Use maintenance software for documenting work.
• Develop and execute equipment lockouts.
• Assist Electrical, Operation, and PLM Technicians as needed.
• Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and security.
• Supervise contract personnel and act as a subject matter expert for the assigned area.
• This role necessitates the wearing of respiratory protective equipment. Under Alberta OHS 250(2), ensure there is a seal that is good between the face piece of the equipment and the skin on your face when the equipment is sealing.

The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications:

• Must have experience with sour gas plant operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial field.
• Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
