Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Automotive Technician

First Student is now hiring a 310S Licensed Mechanic to join our shop in Sarnia, Ontario. As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll help ensure the safety and reliability of our iconic yellow school buses, making a real difference in your community every day.

• 2367.8/hour based on experience and qualifications (not flat-rate)
• 2.5/cent/hour ASE bonus for each relevant certification (we cover training materials and exam fees)

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on brakes, suspensions, drive trains, and transmissions
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Complete work orders and documentation
• Assist with mobile emergency repairs as needed

• Hold a valid 310S Technician license
• Have experience with diesel, automotive, electric, or CNG vehicles
• Own a complete set of mechanic’s tools
• Be safety-focused and eager to grow your skills through ASE testing
