The Payroll Specialist works within a multidisciplinary finance team and is responsible for the smooth operation of payroll across various departments. A minimum of three years of payroll experience in a healthcare setting is essential, along with a college diploma or Canadian Payroll Association certification. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of payroll systems are critical for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate payroll information across departments
• Ensure accurate distribution of salaries and benefits
• Conduct audits on payroll data and employee files
• Prepare statistical information for ministry funding
• Manage employee timecards entered into HRIS
Requirements:
• Certified by the Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent
• At least three years of relevant payroll experience
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and systems
• Ability to perform assigned physical tasks
• Excellent reporting and analytical skills
