Strategic Procurement Specialist

Elevate your career in strategic procurement with the City of Saskatoon. This role involves managing the source-to-contract process while ensuring compliance and conducting spend analysis.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, you will engage in public procurement policy and centralized activities. Key responsibilities include the timely procurement of goods and services, administration of bid processes, and utilizing SAP for purchase orders. Your expertise will directly impact the procurement strategies that support sustainable outcomes and effective spend management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct spend analysis to inform sourcing strategies

• Administer source-to-contract process and bid submissions

• Lead supplier negotiations and contract evaluations

• Prepare RFx documents and ensure regulatory compliance

• Monitor vendor performance and resolve procurement issues

Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in Business Administration or related field

• Five years’ experience in Supply Chain Management

• Diploma in Supply Management or PSPP Certificate

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
