GFL seeks a HAZMAT Technician dedicated to emergency responses involving dangerous goods. You will employ your skills in communication, organization, and planning to manage urgent situations effectively. A strong commitment to safety and readiness is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to emergency spills from various sources
• Carry out chemical transloading and neutralization tasks
• Coordinate necessary resources for emergency situations
• Maintain and service emergency response equipment
• Oversee compliance with safety practices and documentation
Requirements:
• Strong background in hazardous materials emergency response
• Class 5 driver’s license with clean record;
Class 1 or 3 is a plus
• Good physical condition to wear protective equipment
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
• Willingness to travel for emergency responses
