As the HAZMAT Team Leader, you are responsible for immediate emergency response coordination and comprehensive training of technicians.
Your role encompasses conducting chemical transloading and maintaining strict safety protocols. You will promote GFL’s high service standards while managing resources during critical incidents and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond swiftly to HAZMAT emergency situations
• Execute chemical transloading and decontamination
• Ensure emergency equipment is fully operational
• Lead safety meetings and incident investigations
• Maintain accurate documentation of responses
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
Class 1 or 3 preferred
• Demonstrated experience with hazardous materials
• Capable of following detailed instructions clearly
• Strong communication and teamwork focus
• Flexibility for travel and extended hours
