Join CBC/Radio-Canada as an On-Site Reporter in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Engage with communities through compelling news stories across video, digital, and social platforms.
This permanent full-time role focuses on pitching, sourcing, and delivering engaging enterprise stories. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in news environments and a strong grasp of content distribution methods. You'll also be tasked with covering breaking news and copy-editing digital content from other writers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pitch and research enterprise stories that engage audiences
• Cover breaking news events quickly on various platforms
• Copy-edit and publish digital content from staff writers
• Develop innovative digital video formats for and You Tube
• Utilize CBC content effectively with strong headlines and multimedia
Requirements:
• Minimum three years in a news environment
• Strong understanding of social media and distribution
• Proficient in reporting for audio and video
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
• University degree in journalism or related field
