Wanuskewin Heritage Park seeks a Head of Finance to lead financial management and sustainability efforts in support of Indigenous culture. Collaborate with various departments to drive strategic outcomes.
This leadership role, reporting to the CEO, involves managing the overall financial operations of the park. You will oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and would collaborate closely with department heads to ensure they meet their financial goals. Your expertise will help shape a financially sustainable path in line with Wanuskewin's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee financial management and reporting practices
• Create and manage the operating budget effectively
• Lead the annual financial audits and compliance efforts
• Oversee finance team’s performance and development
• Collaborate with auditors and funding sources
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• CPA designation essential
• 5-10 years of experience in finance roles
• Strong knowledge of non-profit financial standards
• Proven leadership and communication abilities
