Enhance healthcare advocacy by serving as the Volunteer Treasurer for the CHPCA Board. Focus on financial oversight in a crucial advocacy role.
As the Volunteer Treasurer, you will provide governance and financial oversight for the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association. The position involves leading the Finance and Audit Committee and working closely with the Executive Committee. Your key responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, supporting the annual budget process, and acting as a signing authority, all of which ensure accountability in financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Chair and guide Finance and Audit Committee meetings
• Analyze financial statements and budgets
• Report financial conditions to Board and AGM
• Supervise annual auditing processes
• Authorize financial documents in alignment with policies
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of financial governance
• Experience in financial oversight for non-profits
• Critical thinking and strategic planning skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
• Chartered Accountant certification is a benefit
