About Your New Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Camp Operations, the Casual Camp Worker 1 (Housekeeper) will be responsible for working with housekeeping, janitorial, and kitchen staff to ensure company hygiene standards and health standards are met per SK HACCP requirements.
Your
Key Responsibilities
Ability to follow a workload.
Complete tasks within the allotted time.
Operate vacuum.
Operate laundry equipment.
Empty garbage from dining room and bedrooms.
Serve meals on the hotline.
Follow cleaning/sanitation protocol for rooms weekly and complete housekeeping.
Follow cleaning/sanitation protocol for washrooms/toilets and hallways.
Follow cleaning/sanitation protocol for the mill and mine dry change rooms.
Follow cleaning/sanitation protocol for Administration building.
Do laundry as required.
Assist with taking down of breakfast line.
Sanitize work and customer area.
Replenish Front of House.
Operate dishwasher.
Any other duties as assigned by the department.
Your Knowledge and Skills
Must demonstrate good communication skills.
Be a team player.
A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.
Able to work well independently with little supervision.
Physically demanding position. Duties include repetitive bending, pulling, carrying, high lifting and heavy pushing (up to 50lbs).
Your
Education and Experience
Entry level.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous related experience working in remote, fly‑in/fly‑out camp sites would be an asset.
About Our Working Conditions
This position has a schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 11‑hour days with the possibility of unscheduled overtime. You will be required to fly in/fly out of the site on designated days from pick‑up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or La Ronge.
Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.
