Key Responsibilities
Provide professional and courteous front desk service during overnight hours, including guest check‑ins, check‑outs, and handling inquiries.
Complete all night audit procedures in accordance with Dakota Dunes Resort standards, policies, and operating systems.
Reconcile daily financial transactions, including cash, credit, and debit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Prepare and distribute daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and food & beverage summaries.
Secure all funds and financial documentation in accordance with Resort policies.
Monitor the Resort premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
Respond promptly and effectively to guest concerns, complaints, and requests, ensuring a positive guest experience.
Maintain thorough knowledge of Resort amenities, services, and promotions to actively assist and engage guests.
Ensure the efficient and organized operation of the Front Desk and lobby area during overnight hours.
Post and balance all charges accurately and in a timely manner.
Complete nightly food and beverage reporting requirements.
Run end‑of‑day audit processes and ensure all systems are balanced and finalized.
Assist with administrative duties such as reports, internal communications, and reservation updates.
Maintain lobby presentation, including restocking the lobby market and refreshing guest coffee and tea stations.
Follow all health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures in alignment with Resort policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor, Duty Manager, or General Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in Hospitality or Accounting is considered an asset.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hospitality or front desk operations preferred.
Basic accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with hotel management systems (e.g., OPERA) and Microsoft Office is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑focused approach.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution‑oriented in high‑pressure situations.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts.
High level of integrity and accountability, particularly when handling financial transactions.
Professional appearance in accordance with Dakota Dunes Resort dress code (all‑black attire).
Flexible availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
Overnight shifts in a resort environment.
Requires standing for extended periods and occasional light lifting.
Independent role with responsibility for both guest service and financial accuracy.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
