Assistant Housekeeping Manager

We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join and lead our housekeeping team.

• Ensure staff of the housekeeping & laundry department cleans, stocks linen, and maintains guest rooms and public spaces in accordance with client/guest expectations.
• Oversee staff of room attendants, house‑persons, laundry attendants, and inspectors by conducting daily and monthly meetings, inspecting staff work, and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline when appropriate.
• Arrange staff work schedules, determining days off, ensuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or current or anticipated projects. Submit payroll records, correct errors to ensure pay is on time and includes any purchased rooms, extra cleanup, cots, etc.
• Maintain and review computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses, laundry production reports, and inspection scores for housekeepers.
• Communicate both verbally and in writing (including electronically) to provide clear direction to staff.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work all seven days of the week, with the ability to open the day in housekeeping, work mid‑shifts, and work evening shifts as well.
• Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Maintain a skilled appearance and manner at all times and communicate well with guests.
• Be willing to “pitch in” and help co‑workers with Courtyard Marriott job duties and be a team player.
• Have the ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and move throughout the building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members to complete tasks if the situation demands.
• Must have a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
