We are looking for a talented Conveyance Team Lead focused on the planning and engineering design of water infrastructure projects who wants to be part of a purpose-driven organization that’s focused on helping our clients, colleagues and communities thrive. The role involves identifying, developing, pursuing, and winning projects with new and existing clientele to grow our conveyance business in Saskatchewan including linear and vertical conveyance, water resources, and civil site design. The position requires leadership in the execution and delivery of technically complex conveyance projects and provides opportunities for thought leadership through collaboration with research and innovation teams in the development and deployment of innovative technologies.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Conveyance Team Lead plays a critical role in the Saskatchewan Conveyance Team development, performance, planning, engagement, and utilization. The Team Lead will work closely with leadership in Saskatchewan and Manitoba and the Conveyance Team. The primary role of the Team Lead is to support the overall health (e.g. team engagement, retention, project delivery, growth) of the Saskatchewan Conveyance Team and make sure that the team is well-positioned for long-term success.

People Management:

  • Champion ideas and initiatives that promote a healthy work environment and a positive culture.

  • Show leadership in continuous improvement of team performance by providing coaching, mentoring and training to develop a high-performing project team.

  • Establish strong relationships with team members and provide regular recognition and feedback.

  • Proactively identify and resolve team issues and conflicts.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and proactiveness in handling and dealing with confidential and sensitive personnel issues.

  • Facilitate regular discipline meetings to track project deliverables, coordinate with their team on upcoming project needs and field any questions around resourcing or technical matters. It is expected that the Team Lead will interact regularly with staff and work closely with the technical team to provide information (standards, IP, technical references, sample projects, etc.) needed to complete assignments.

  • Champion inclusion and diversity initiatives and support Employee Resource Groups for increased Inclusion and Diversity Awareness and Education.

  • Develop the Team Engagement Plan for communication, knowledge sharing, workload management and conflict resolution.
