Effectively plan, schedule and manage service workload and resources to meet customers’ expectations for equipment service and maintenance. Responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements of the branch and to set the strategy and goals for the branch operations business plan. This position is temporary full time for 12 months.

Job Description
Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of staff, including recruitment and selection, orientation, coaching and mentoring, performance feedback, and supporting growth and development opportunities
Support a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring that all safety practices and policies are followed by employees, contractors and on site customers
Manage and monitor the work order process
Continually identify and recommend opportunities to improve service to customers
Responsible for managing service operations and assets to achieve best possible financial results, aligned with the corporate strategy and personal objectives
Effective planning, management and reporting of service financial results, assets and facilities requirements
Specific Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong time management skills
Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and human resource management skills
Knowledge
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and service support systems
Sound knowledge of current products and services and CAT dealer relationship
Strong understanding and interpretation of relevant service agreements
Understanding and use of supporting information systems with an emphasis on DBS
Strong knowledge of Warranty and Good will practices and budget forecasting
Complete understanding of Finning’s work order cycle
Thorough understanding of Leaders in Action
Thorough understanding of the union and Finning’s collective agreements
Understands and adheres to Finning policies and procedures, including safety
Experience
5 to 10 years in a mechanical service environment
Supervisory or team leadership experience
Thorough understanding of the union and Finning’s collective agreement
