Position Overview  Effectively plan, schedule and manage service workload and resources to meet customers’ expectations for equipment service and maintenance. Responsible for the day‑to‑day operational requirements of the branch and for setting the strategy and goals for the branch operations business plan. This is a temporary, full‑time position for 12 months.
Responsibilities   Lead day‑to‑day staff management, including recruitment, selection, orientation, coaching and mentoring, performance feedback, and support for growth and development opportunities.
Support a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring all safety practices and policies are followed by employees, contractors and on‑site customers.
Manage and monitor the work order process.
Continuously identify and recommend opportunities to improve service to customers.
Manage service operations and assets to achieve the best possible financial results, aligned with corporate strategy and personal objectives.
Plan, manage and report service financial results, assets and facility requirements.
Qualifications & Experience   Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong time‑management skills.
Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills; human resource management experience.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and service support systems.
Sound knowledge of current products and services and CAT dealer relationships.
Strong understanding of relevant service agreements, warranty and goodwill practices, and budget forecasting.
Complete understanding of Finning’s work order cycle and decision‑making tools such as DBS.
Knowledge of Leaders in Action and of Finning’s collective agreements and union.
5 to 10 years of experience in a mechanical service environment; supervisory or team‑leadership experience.
Adherence to Finning policies and procedures, including safety.
