Landfill Operations Supervisor

Take the lead at the Saskatoon Regional Waste Management Centre as a Landfill Operations Supervisor. Oversee staff, equipment, and procedures to ensure efficient waste management and adherence to safety regulations.

In this supervisory role under the Environmental Operations Superintendent, you will manage landfill operations and promote a safety-focused work culture. Your responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring quality control, and developing plans for waste disposal. You'll coordinate disposal processes while ensuring environmental regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train landfill staff for optimal performance

• Conduct daily inspections to maintain operational standards

• Plan equipment and material use efficiently

• Address public enquiries regarding landfill operations

• Prepare reports for City Council and management

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education required

• Five years’ experience in solid waste systems, three in supervision

• Certification as a landfill manager preferred

• Valid Class 1A Learner’s Licence required

• First Aid certification needed
