Become a Volunteer Advocate with Results to fight extreme poverty and promote quality education through advocacy. Dedicate 1-2 hours per week to influence policymakers.
In this role, your primary aim will be to engage government leaders and decision makers to generate the political will needed to end poverty in low and middle-income countries. You will commit to at least one year of advocacy, working within local groups to raise awareness through various platforms, including social media and fundraising efforts. Your actions aim to keep poverty-related issues on the political agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively engage with local advocacy groups monthly
• Build awareness through social media and public letters
• Network with government officials to discuss key policies
• Participate in organizational training and webinars
• Raise funds to support advocacy initiatives
Requirements:
• A minimum 1-year commitment, averaging 1-2 hours/week
• Strong interest in economic opportunities and education
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Collaborative spirit to work in group settings
• Enthusiasm for social justice and change
