Cultural Inclusion Coordinator at AMS

Location: Martensville

Lead cultural and equity initiatives at the Alma Mater Society in Kingston, Ontario. The Racial Ethnic and Cultural Inclusion Lead supports student engagement, education, and advocacy programs.

As a vital member of the Social Issues Commission, you will facilitate important dialogues around identity, equity, and anti-oppression. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff and volunteers while managing cultural sensitivity initiatives and community engagement. Experience in organizing programs and events is essential to promote awareness and celebrate diverse cultures at Queen's.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with SIC staff and volunteers for programming

• Report student feedback for educational events and policies

• Establish and support REC capstone events like Equity Gala

• Create awareness campaigns promoting diverse cultural representation

• Facilitate advocacy opportunities for students

Requirements:

• Strong analytical thinking and planning skills

• Proven ability to supervise and motivate teams

• Maintain regular office hours and communication
