Youth Outreach and Wellness Coordinator KDFN

As a vital member of the KDFN Justice team, you will engage directly with young people, strengthening their identity and connection to culture. The position involves designing youth programs, providing advocacy, and collaborating with various KDFN departments to ensure holistic support for youth facing complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Connect with youth in homes, communities, and on the land
• Design and implement wellness-focused youth programs
• Advocate for young people facing trauma and abuse
• Collaborate with Education, Lands, and Health teams
• Provide culturally relevant crisis intervention as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalency
• Minimum two years' experience in mental health or wellness
• Knowledge of KDFN culture and community
• Experience in case management for at-risk youth
• First Aid & CPR certification (willing to obtain)
This role demands cultural competence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to youth empowerment.
