The Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Saskatchewan seeks an innovative and experienced professional for the Communicator Program Officer position.

The Program Officer will have experience in non-profit program administration, training coordination, evaluation and a passion for community initiatives. A practical knowledge of translation-interpretation, adult education, and the immigrant experience will lead to their success. Strong networking and planning skills, financial management and reporting expertise are required. They will lead collaboratively and support Team members to deliver effective knowledge acquisition strategies to achieve desired outcomes.

Administration & Reporting

Maintain detailed program records.

Monitor program objectives progress and participant success.

Prepare necessary reports (statistical and narrative information).

Ensure Team member accountability, support their successes.

Ensure contracts are fulfilled.

Budget & Resource Management

Manage program budget.

Develop long-term sustainability and growth plan.

Manage program expenses.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

Carry out regular program assessments. Implement necessary improvements.

Stay updated on sectoral trends, best practices, and emerging needs.

Program Development

Oversee program delivery and on-going development to meets sectoral standards. Focus on the unique needs of the sector, volunteer practitioners and small communities.

Ensure culturally responsive and inclusive program meets the needs of diverse populations (e.g. newcomers, refugees, and individuals with limited English proficiency).

Organizational Culture

Demonstrate leadership through active participation in staff professional development.

Foster an inclusive workplace embracing cultural/identity diversity in keeping with UCC Saskatchewan non-discrimination policies.
