Position OverviewThe Server is responsible for providing friendly, professional, and efficient food and beverage service to guests atthe Prairie Rose Kitchen restaurant and Red Willow Café grab-and-go. This position ensures guests receive a welcoming and memorable experience while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and food safety.
The server will guide guests through menu options, processes orders accurately, maintains service areas, and adapts service to the relaxed pace and wellness positioning of the spa.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests promptly and provide knowledgeable, courteous service.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, dietary options, beverages, and daily features accurately.
- Take andenter orders correctly, communicate modifications clearly, and verify allergy requirements.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and check guest satisfaction at appropriate intervals.
- Process payments, room or wristband charges where applicable, gift cards, and other approved transactions accurately.
- Maintain tables, counters, displays, condiment stations, beverage areas, and service supplies.
- Support grab-and-go stocking, product rotation, packaging, labelling, and presentation as assigned.
- Complete opening, side-work, and closing duties.
- Participate in tastings, mock service, opening setup, and product knowledge sessions.
- Respect guest privacy, relaxation, and pace while remaining attentive and available.
- Recommend suitable menu items, beverages, and additions based on guest preferences.
- Respond professionally to concerns and involve a supervisor when service recovery is required.
- Communicate clearly with culinary, bar, and support teams to maintain smooth service.
- Followfood safety, responsible beverage service, allergen, sanitation, cash-handling,and occupational safety procedures.
- Maintain clean, dry, and unobstructed service areas and immediately report accidents,hazards, equipment concerns, and other safety issues promptly.
- Recognize guest cues and adapt service style to individual needs.
- Assist with server, host, busser, and food-runner training and mock services.
- Previous experience in food and beverage restaurant, café, or hospitality operations is preferred.
- Ability towork in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Serve ItRight Saskatchewan (SIRS) certification is required.
- Safe Food Handling Certification is an asset.
- WHMIScertification is preferred.
- First Aideand CPR certification is an asset.
- Minimum 19years of age.
- Ability towork flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsas required.
