- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Outside Sales Representatives to achieve sales and margin objectives.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, joint sales calls, and performance discussions to support employee development and customer engagement.
- Drive growth through new business development, market expansion, and strengthening existing customer relationships.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, consultants, vendors, and key accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer needs to identify opportunities and risks.
- Ensure effective use of Salesforce and other systems to maintain accurate customer activity, pipelines, forecasts, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers and operational teams to ensure strong communication, customer satisfaction, and execution.
- Review sales performance metrics and provide ongoing coaching, accountability, and support to the team.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning initiatives.
- Represent the company at customer events, trade shows, networking functions, and industry activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and safety expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3–5 years of sales leadership experience within construction materials, building products, roofing, or distribution environments.
- Strong understanding of commercial and residential construction sales processes.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Experience developing customer relationships and driving business growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
- Ability to analyze sales performance data and translate insights into action plans.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally, if required.
