Regulatory Summer Student (Saskatoon)
Reporting to the Regulatory Manager, this position is responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities

Assist with the achievement of regulatory objectives of maximizing performance and minimizing impacts to operational timelines

Support the project approval process

Support cross‑disciplinary, integrated and collaborative project development process

Assist in the preparation of submissions to provincial and federal regulatory agencies including the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission

Assist in tracking regulatory commitments and obligations

Assist in the management of regulatory records

Assist with the review of the best practices, policies and regulations in the field of health, safety and environmental protection

Skills and Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language

University/technical‑school attendee or graduate with experience in a field relating to health and safety, environmental protection, natural sciences (e.g., chemistry, geology, biology), mathematics, or mining

Preference will be given to individuals displaying strong abilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Share Point

Technical and/or report‑writing abilities an asset

Open to learning and takes initiative

Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work well independently and in multi‑disciplinary teams

Honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality

Work Location & Schedule

Saskatoon Corporate Office

8 hours/day; 40 hours/week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Occasional travel to the McClean Lake Operation

4‑month term;
May August
