Environmental Biologist Position

Overview

Step into a energetic role as Biologist 1 at HDR, a 6-month contract in Saskatchewan focusing on environmental science. Contribute to wildlife and vegetation assessments, while conducting essential monitoring work.

In this role, you will report to local and regional project managers and assist in baseline programs. Your responsibilities will include fieldwork, collaboration with teams, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Expect wide-ranging tasks, including travel for environmental monitoring across Saskatchewan and western Canada.

• Participate in various environmental baseline studies
• Conduct monitoring on linear construction projects
• Perform literature reviews for informed technical reporting
• Assist with permitting and regulatory processes
• Engage in health and safety programs at HDR

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or similar field
• 1–3 years of experience in relevant roles
• Excellent proficiency with MS Office
• Solid written and oral communication abilities
• Class 5 driver’s license for fieldwork
