Environmental Biologist

Join the Environmental Assessment and Community Engagement team as an Environmental Biologist in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, or Calgary, Alberta. Support biological assessments and field surveys for vital energy and infrastructure projects.

This role involves preparing regulatory applications, conducting biological surveys, and performing environmental monitoring. You will serve as a key resource on diverse environmental projects, ensuring project compliance and technical quality. Experience in environmental regulations and a background in biological studies are essential for effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare regulatory approval and permitting applications

• Conduct biological surveys according to established protocols

• Perform environmental desktop research and monitoring

• Assist with Species At Risk surveys and assessments

• Provide guidance on environmental protection and compliance

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education and professional membership

• Minimum five years in biological study planning and management

• Knowledge of Prairies Region habitats and regulations

• Experience in environmental roles on construction sites

• Valid driver's license with good driving record
