Elevate your career with Stantec as an Intermediate Vegetation Ecologist. Based in either Saskatoon or Regina, you'll tackle ecological assessments for varied development projects in the oil, gas, and transportation sectors.
This opportunity requires a proactive mindset and a minimum of five years' experience in vegetation ecology. You will lead wetland evaluations, contribute to environmental assessments, and engage with stakeholders and clients to promote ecological health. Fieldwork will include hands-on data collection and analysis, ensuring project success and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead wetland assessments following provincial protocols
• Conduct natural resource planning and biophysical assessments
• Provide expertise for environmental evaluations for regulators
• Manage desktop mapping projects for vegetation and wetlands
• Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or a related area
• At least five years of relevant experience in the field
• Technical writing and mapping skills required
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Capacity for challenging field conditions required
