Responsibilities

Development and implementation of technical programs such as:
Environmental Monitoring and Supplementary Studies (including groundwater, surface water, soil, vegetation, wildlife, aquatic ecosystems, and air quality)

Environmental Risk and Impact Assessments

Biodiversity Surveys and Habitat Assessment

Environmental Data Management

Progressive Reclamation Programs

Environmental Compliance and Management Systems

Assist in the preparation of a variety of technical and regulatory documents for intended audiences including internal circulation, regulatory review, and rights holders communication

Assist in the co-ordination and execution of technical field programs

Develop a sound knowledge of the company’s operations and the technical requirements imposed by legislation and various permits and licenses

Remain informed on technical advancements in environmental management and science practices as they relate to Orano Canada sites

Skills and Qualifications

University degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, toxicology, or relevant discipline; M.Sc. or Ph.D. is an asset

3 to 5 years of experience in planning and conducting technical environmental programs and sampling (water, soil, sediment, vegetation, and wildlife) in remote areas and industrial sites

Demonstrated skills in environmental data analysis and preparation of technical reports

Eligible for or holding a relevant professional designation or accreditation (e.g., P.Biol., P.Ag., EP) is an asset

Demonstrated problem solving, planning, and organizational skills

Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Comfortable travelling to remote field sites

Work Location & Schedule

Saskatoon

Travel to field sites as required

8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
