Become a crucial part of the Farm Supply Team at Discovery Co-operative as a Senior Agronomist in North Battleford, SK. Utilize your expertise in agronomy to support our grower customers effectively.
In this senior role, you will design and implement a communication plan that informs growers about agronomy and available products. Your guidance on seed and pest management, as well as crop nutrition, will empower customers to make informed decisions. You will also engage in field activities, ensuring high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop grower communication plans for agronomic support
• Provide guidance on seed and pest management
• Conduct scouting and soil testing activities
• Communicate results effectively to grower customers
• Act as a liaison between customers and suppliers
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in agriculture or related field
• 6-9 years of relevant experience
• Eligible for registration with Professional Institute of Agrology
• Certified Crop Advisor designation as an asset
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
