Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspections & Diagnostics: Conduct regular checks of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to identify problems early, and report to management.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Lubricate machinery, clean filters, replace worn parts, and follow schedules to prevent breakdowns.
  • Able to follow instructions from Management/Owner.
  • May Unload/Load and Install Equipment and appliances and setup as needed.
  • Repairs: Handle minor fixes like drywall patching, fixing doors, replacing light fixtures, and repairing equipment.
  • System Maintenance: Make minor adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor areas.
  • Inventory Management: Track supplies, and equipment, and make necessary purchases.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety rules, inspect fire alarms, and maintain overall facility safety.
  • Coordination: Schedule and oversee specialized contractors (electricians, plumbers) for major repairs.
  • Record Keeping: Document maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Able to read online equipment manuals to determine parts needed and place orders.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly to unexpected issues like leaks power failures
Technical knowledge in various trades (electrical, plumbing, mechanical). Problem-solving and troubleshooting. Physical stamina for bending, lifting, and standing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Follows Local and Provincial Building codes.
* Required to have own transportation and various tools.
