Position: Rosthern Full-Time Utility/Public Works Operator

Support the essential services of the Town of Rosthern as a full-time Utility/Public Works Operator, ensuring the maintenance and operation of crucial municipal systems.

Rosthern is actively looking for a committed Utility/Public Works Operator to join its team on a permanent basis. Under the supervision of the Public Works Lead Hand, you will handle essential tasks related to the water and sewer systems while operating heavy equipment and maintaining municipal infrastructure. Rotational on-call shifts are part of this important role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and repair water treatment and distribution systems

• Operate heavy machinery including trucks and street sweepers

• Conduct maintenance on sidewalks and roads

• Repair municipal vehicles and facilities

• Conduct inspections for lagoons and sewage stations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in utilities or public works operations

• Competence in operating heavy equipment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibility for evening and weekend shifts

• Strong adherence to OH&S guidelines
