As a Powerline Technician, you will manage the construction, operation, and maintenance of power systems. This role includes supervising on-site labor, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You'll have opportunities to mentor apprentices and engage directly with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and maintain durable power lines
• Supervise adherence to safety standards
• Diagnose system faults and provide solutions
• Coordinate outages and execute precise switching orders
• Document all maintenance and inspections thoroughly
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate required
• Class-5 operator’s license; eligibility for Class-1 or Class-3
• First Aid Certification mandatory
• Knowledge of live line techniques preferred
• Commitment to promote safety and environmental compliance
