Equipment Mechanic

Position: SaskPower Equipment Mechanic Full-Time
Location: North Battleford

Become a vital part of Sask Power in North Battleford as an Equipment Mechanic. This full-time role focuses on the maintenance and repair of essential machinery in a safety-sensitive setting.

The successful candidate will execute equipment installation, inspection, and troubleshooting while adhering to strict safety standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records and managing preventive maintenance programs. Strong technical skills and a valid Class 1A driver’s licence are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, operate, and maintain equipment and machinery

• Analyze and resolve equipment issues promptly

• Maintain parts inventory and service records

• Conduct safety inspections and comply with regulations

• Supervise and mentor apprentices as needed

Requirements:

• Interprovincial certification in Heavy Duty Mechanic or related field

• Capability to obtain the Utility Fleet Mechanic Certificate within 24 months

• Must meet physical demands of the role

• Valid Class 1A driver’s licence

• Strong communication skills with team and supervisors
