Seeking a Journeyperson Mechanic specialized in heavy equipment maintenance for powerline construction. Leverage your technical skills in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment in a mobile setting.

This role is tailored for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in fieldwork, focusing on service reliability and equipment performance. You will provide key mechanical support, perform inspections, and document all service activities while adhering to safety regulations for vehicles operating over 4,500 kg.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose issues in mechanical and hydraulic systems

• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime

• Travel to various sites for on-the-spot repairs

• Keep detailed service and parts records

• Conduct essential pre and post-trip inspections

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years heavy duty mechanic experience

• Must possess a Class 1 driver's license

• Heavy Duty Journeyman Certificate necessary

• Expertise in engine and emissions systems required

• Welding experience is an asset for this role
