Position: Meter Installer at City
Join the City of Saskatoon as a Meter Installer for a temporary full-time role focusing on water meter installations. Engage in mechanical work and public interactions across varied locations.

This CUPE 47 position, lasting approximately five months, requires a Grade 12 education and one year of relevant experience. You will install, program, and maintain water meters while addressing public inquiries and mechanical issues effectively. This role supports public utilities and ensures quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install one-inch and smaller water meters for new services

• Perform routine changes of water meters across sectors

• Program and wire meters for remote interrogation

• Conduct minor plumbing repairs as needed

• Maintain vehicle and meter installation equipment

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and one year of related experience

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence

• First aid certificate or ability to obtain one

• Safe driving record per current driver’s abstract

• Acceptable Criminal Record Check upon employment
