Journeyman Automotive Service Technician

We are looking for a reliable Journeyperson (or 4th year) who takes pride in quality repairs, works efficiently, and respects shop processes.

As a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for accurate diagnosis, efficient repairs, and clear communication to ensure work is completed correctly the first time.

This role suits a technician who is experienced, driven, accountable, and comfortable working in a professional shop environment.

• Perform accurate repairs in accordance with manufacturer repair procedures.
• Clearly document and communicate whether future work is recommended (manufacturer guidelines) or required (worn, failed, or safety-related components).
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs.
• Identify and communicate any necessary repairs or maintenance issues that may affect vehicle performance or reliability.
• Accurately complete work orders and technician notes.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding work completed.
• Supervise and support Apprentices when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Attend all required technical and Government required training as per company training policies.
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and provincial regulations.

• Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician (Red Seal an asset).
• 35 years automotive repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Valid Class 5 drivers' license.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Proficient with computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and repair manuals.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
• Safety-first mindset with knowledge of WHMIS and OH&S regulation.

Please note that wage is up to $42.00 and based on level & experience.
