Trade - HVAC Technician

Impala Canada is the owner and operator of the Lac Des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known primary palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas-powered and hybrid vehicles.

Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems. Install and replace components and systems.

Must have good knowledge and understanding of HVAC, gas, and oil burner systems.

Assemble and install refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors using hand and power tools as required.

Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.

Schedule:

14 x 14 rotation.

Possess Trade Certification for HVAC/Oil burner/gas (gas fitter
1) and ability to work on all equipment.

Minimum five (5) years of experience in a mining and mill environment is an asset.

A self-starter who performs duties in a safe and productive manner.

Verbal and written proficiency in the English language.
