Responsibilities- Place and finish concrete in flatwork or curb projects
- Ensure quality of finished work
- Set forms for grade and design
- Operate small power tools
- Prepare base for final grade and compaction
- Assist in demolition of existing concrete
- Check work
- Knowledge in using hand and power finishing tools
- Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
- Be involved in daily safety meetings
- Possibly operate small equipment (skid steer, mini excavator)
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas; promote a culture of safety
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Work Experience:
Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset - Additional Requirements:
Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset; prior work with power tools would be an asset; prior work with mobile equipment would be an asset - Safety Oriented
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Willing to work overtime when needed, including Saturdays
- Able to work unsupervised
- Able to work well with others
- Good communication skills
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
