Position OverviewGeneral Labourer – Martensville, SK.
This is a full‑time permanent position working an 8am to 5pm shift.
Responsibilities- Day‑to‑day duties on site to complete work safely, timely, and maintain a clean work area.
- Adhere to SECURE’s safety program and work as a contributing member of the site team.
- Ensure all SECURE safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Be cognizant of and adhere to any site‑specific safety requirements.
- Participate in all safety‑related meetings, including daily tail gates and last‑minute risk assessments.
- Work well with other workers.
- Operate and service small equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, cut‑off saws, and stationary baler.
- Sort non‑ferrous material, cut material to size, and package.
- Be willing to be trained on other positions.
- Understand all power and small tools.
- Conduct pre‑operational checks on equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and fuel all equipment and perform general site housekeeping.
- Notify supervisor and/or repair shop of any required work.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Full‑time permanent position, 8am to 5pm shift.
- General labouring and/or farm experience an asset but not required.
- Experience working with metals is an asset.
- Basic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Ability to complete safety documentation accurately and timely.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, shoveling, moving containers, and other heavy materials.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditions.
- Ability to manage weather and/or seasonal interruptions in the work schedule.
- Certification in WHIMS, First Aid considered an asset.
