Field Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

At Herc Rentals, we seek a skilled mechanic to oversee preventative maintenance on equipment at long-term customer job locations. This position requires the ability to diagnose and repair various heavy equipment systems, including electrical and hydraulic, while ensuring safety and compliance. Candidates should be prepared for a flexible schedule, balancing responsibilities between the branch and remote job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc's fleet

• Conduct oil changes and tire replacements

• Diagnose heavy equipment for necessary repairs

• Educate customers on equipment use

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Journeyman Off Road Certification preferred

• At least 3 years of hands-on repair experience

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

• Availability for on-call rotation

• Clean driving record necessary
