Join United Rentals as an Experienced Field Mechanic and leverage your skills in heavy‑duty equipment maintenance. This role offers independence and the chance to make a difference on customer job sites. As a Field Diesel Mechanic with United Rentals, you will focus on maintaining complex mechanical and electrical systems.
You will not only facilitate repairs but also enhance customer satisfaction through excellent service. Training and mentoring junior technicians will be part of your responsibilities as well.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct maintenance and repairs on various equipment
- Travel for in‑office service at customer job sites
- Uphold a clean and qualified service vehicle
- Document all work performed in detail
- Upsell complex equipment and assist with deliveries
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- Current driver's license and acceptable driving history
- 5+ years of relevant mechanical and repair experience
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with independent judgment
- Solid customer service and communication skills
