About Us:

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. Correctional Services Canada is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

Our Mission:
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), as part of the criminal justice system and respecting the rule of law, contributes to public safety by actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens, while exercising reasonable, safe, secure and humane control. The Technical Services, Prairie Region, of Correctional Service Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment whose mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of a real estate portfolio of more than $ 8 billion dollars in an operational environment.

We are responsible for institutions and penitentiary clusters as well as parole offices and community correctional centers located throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The facilities we manage are very varied, such as buildings and structures, building mechanical systems, electrical distribution networks, infrastructures, generators, oil reservoirs, thermal power plants, water treatment and purification plants, roads, fences and barriers, and vehicles.

The positions are located in federal correctional institutions. Tradespersons employed in these areas are responsible to support the maintenance of the institutions while directly supervising and training inmates. All incumbents must be willing to work within a federal correctional environment including direct interaction and supervision of offenders.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) remains committed to developing and maintaining a strong, inclusive, and diverse workforce that not only reflects the Canadian population, but also the populations we serve. We don't just accept diversity - we celebrate it! We are making targeted efforts to recruit and retain diverse employees. In fact, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) is the largest employer of Indigenous peoples in the core public administration.

We believe that our ability to deliver accessible and inclusive services is realized when we recognize and retain the most diverse range of thoughts, experiences, and skills. We work hard to create an environment where all perspectives and experiences are valued. We are committed to helping diverse talent
