This temporary full-time position lasts approximately four months under CUPE 59. As an Irrigation Supervisor, you will supervise, train, and evaluate staff while handling the operational aspects of irrigation initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure accurate reporting and adherence to safety protocols, enhancing both workforce efficiency and community satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and evaluate irrigation staff performance
• Ensure timely completion of inspection and safety reports
• Assist with evaluations of water conservation operations
• Troubleshoot central control systems for efficiency
• Read and interpret irrigation construction drawings
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and a diploma in horticulture
• Three years of experience in irrigation systems
• Backflow Prevention Certificate (within six months)
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence
• Ability to complete supervisory training courses within six months
