Pay range is $40-$42 hourly based on certifications and experience.

To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
- Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
- Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
- Must furnish own personal hand tools.
- Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
- Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
- Previous mechanical and PM program experience
- Experience using fleet maintenance software
- Welding ability

The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility. - Ability to work flexible schedule.
- Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
Job requires worker to: sit occasionally, stand frequently, walk frequently, drive occasionally (test drives equipment). Lift: 1-10 lbs (sedentary) continuously, 10-20 lbs (light) frequently, 25-50 lbs (medium) occasionally, 50-100 lbs (heavy) occasionally, over 100 lbs (very heavy) may lift up to 120-150 pounds (2 man lift). Carry: 1-10 lbs (sedentary) frequently, 10-20 lbs (light) frequently, 25-50 lbs (medium) occasionally, 50-100 lbs (heavy) occasionally, over 100 lbs (very heavy) occasionally.
Push/pull occasionally items: transmissions, tires & clutches. Climb/balance occasionally items: ladders & lift gates. Stoop/squat frequently. Kneel/bend occasionally. Bend frequently. Reach above shoulder occasionally. Grasp objects frequently. Manipulate objects frequently. Twisting occasionally.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $40 and $42.
