Underground Electrician at Agnico Eagle

As a vital part of the Mobile Maintenance Department, you will report to the Mine Supervisor and support safe mining operations. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth upkeep of critical equipment in accordance with electrical codes and best practices. The responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain 15kv and 5kv power distribution systems

• Repair electrical wiring and components as needed

• Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems

• Troubleshoot equipment like Jumbos and bolters

• Follow OHSA regulations and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Proficient in reading electrical prints

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with high voltage systems

• Competent in using electrical test equipment

• Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus
